My name is Samantha Mae and I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my page!

Please take a look through the site to get a feel for my photography, through my photographs. As you will see, my style is very filmic - I really enjoy capturing the sequence of emotion. Yes, the one shot is great, - but the whole sequence really tells the story of the event at hand. My cinematic vision in shooting stems form my video background, and has influenced my unique style.

My interest in photography began the first time I saw my father with his old Minolta camera. I was constantly intrigued by it, and was even more exited when my parents bought me my very own pinhole camera. I was about 10 years old, and I was fascinated by the ability to document time. Of course, as a 10 year old, most of my photos consisted of tea time that I had with my dolls.

Blended in with camera fascination, was the frequent trips my family took abroad, visiting art galleries and museums. My early exposure to art cemented my love for photographs. My art and photography education continued with me through high school and college.

Wedding photography is my passion. Every wedding is unique and has its own style, challenges, and moments. Working with different people, understanding their desires, and creating a personal wedding story with digital imagery is my goal. Creating something beyond their expectations has been a wonderful experience time and time again. My job is to catch ever tear, and every laugh. I see my job is not to just take the required posed shots, but to capture the the candid shots that document the day exactly as it was!

I fell in love with capturing emotions ad personalities - each session is unique and there is such a wide range of emotions that I'm constantly looking out for the stolen moments. Other than wedding and portrait photography, I really enjoy commercial assignments as well as my own art images. My early photography career started off working at Alternative Press Magazine, shooting live concert photography. I had the privilege of documenting such concerts as: Britney Spears, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, NSYNC, Ozzy Osbourne, Blink 182, Green Day and Elton John. I have the fortune of still working freelance and take in a few concerts a month.

I also work as a photo journalist for my home town paper, The Osceola Sentinel. Working for my town paper has given me a sense of pride as I have documented events and celebrations through out the years.
